General theory of relativity
It is the geometric theory of gravitation which tells that gravity is a curving or wrapping of space. The more heavier the body the more it will wrap space around it. General relativity theory focus on motion with accelerated frame.
Special theory of relativity
This theory can be applied to any physical phenomenon without considering the gravity. Special relativity theory focuses on motion with constant velocity.
How did einstein came up with the relativity concept?
Let's understand the theory of relativity by seeing two example
1. Relative motion
Does everything in the universe see this phenomenon of relative motion in the same way?
And the answer is yes everything except the light.
2. Example of a lightning bolt
Imagine that you are sitting on the train moving with some constant velocity.
Suddenly, lightning strikes at both ends of the train. and you will observe that two lightning bolts strike at different times.
But for the observer outside the train lightning bolts seems to be striking at the same time.
However, the speed of light is constant, so how does the person sitting on the train observe lightning bolts at different times?
This thought experiment showed that time moves differently for the person moving on the train than for the person standing still outside the train, cementing Einstein's belief that time and space are relative and simultaneity doesn't exist.
Are astronauts age slower?
Albert Einstein's theory of relativity is also famous for predicting some cool phenomena, like astronauts ageing slower than people on Earth and solid objects changing their shapes at high speeds.
Let us first understand some basic phenomenons
Time dilation
Time dilation is the phenomenon when time passes slower for the observer who is moving relative to the other observer.
Time is relative which means the rate at which time passes depends on various factors such as gravity or how fast you are moving.
It will work differently for somebody far in the space and us.
Gravitational time dilation
If a person is in a stronger gravitational field, time will pass slowly for him and vice versa. This means that if a person moves away and away from the earth's surface, time will pass more quickly.
Because the gravitational field will go on decreasing as we go away from the earth's surface. But this time dilation effect is very less. For example, if you consider two people one is on the bottom of the building and another one is on top of the building. So, the time will pass differently for the two persons because the gravitational field is changing. But this effect will be very less. This can be observed only by very sensitive accurate machines.
Velocity time dilation
Time moves slower faster you are moving.

Conclusion
If you are floating in space and not moving you will age quicker but if you are moving quickly with a high speed of 5 miles per hour you would age slower.
Do you have a question in your mind about why they are ageing slower in addition they are away from the earth?
This is because your velocity time dilation will have a greater effect than your gravitational time dilation effect.
