Robotic exoskeleton suit : making human work easier

The exoskeleton is a kind of external frame that is mainly found on small insects like spiders, crustaceans, shelled molluscs etc. to protect and support their body.

  • The idea of exoskeletons for humans came from the exoskeleton of small insects, which aims to help and support a disabled person to stand and move around easily.
  • The fictional Exoskeleton suits in movies like iron man, edge of tomorrow are based on the idea of exoskeletons for humans. They were also powered by electric motors sometimes to give extra strength and power to the person.
  • The mechanism of exoskeletons was designed in such a way that they can fulfil our requirements.
  •  It can be used to lift heavy objects or in different military applications.

But we had not developed that kind of exoskeleton that was in the movies.

It will take numerous inventions to reach that time. So in future, there might be chances that exoskeletons were used to make human work easier.

How do exoskeletons work

Exoskeletons shift weight from one part of the body to another part so that there will not be a large strain on one body part. Exoskeletons redistribute weight uniformly over the entire body so that the muscles and joints of the body doesn't suffer large strain.
